Chocolate Almond Dessert Smoothie

Do you know that feeling when you keep opening the fridge or kitchen cupboards, looking for something to eat to satisfy you?  The feeling that nothing seems appealing but you know you really want something, and you keep going back opening the cupboards and the fridge to no avail?!

Well that’s how I was feeling yesterday afternoon.  So I decided to drink some water as I had sweated quite a bit earlier in the day. Though I am sure my body needed the water, I still had that feeling of “ I want to eat something to feel good, but I don’t know what”!

I was in one of my strange moods, I couldn’t even figure out if I want something sweet or salty!

Have you ever felt this way?!

Well, I finally decided to whip up a cold dessert smoothie I haven’t made in a while!

And Yeap, it did it for me.     Mission accomplished! 🙂

Chocolate Almond Dessert Smoothie

  • 1½ cups unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 2 pitted Dates
  • 1½  heaping Tbsp of organic Raw Cacao powder
  • 2+ Tbsp plain creamy Almond Butter
  • ½+ Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 scoop of your favorite Protein Powder ( I used Vega Sports Chocolate)
  • ¼ tsp Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt
  • 1 cup Ice

Blend until smooth.    Enjoy!
